Membership
Who can become a Member?

The AWCD welcomes women from the US, Canada, or Mexico; women whose husbands are US citizens; women who have lived in the US for at least a year. Additionally, women who are long-time employees of American companies or whose husbands are such employees are eligible for membership.

What are the benefits of membership?

  • A print copy of "Hints for Living in Ireland", a newly updated book loaded with information for newcomers and their families relocating to Ireland.
  • A subscription to the AWCD monthly newsletter delivered online but can be printed.
  • AWCD Notes - twice-monthly email updates.

  • The AWCD Yearbook, a directory of members updated twice annually.

    How much does membership cost?

    Regular - €60
    Pensioner - €45
    Country (i.e. Members who reside outside of Dublin) - €35
    Student - €15

     

    What kind of activity groups are offered as part of Club membership?

    Does the Club meet on a regular basis?

    Regular monthly meetings generally happen on the second Thursday of each month.


    Where, and at what time, do the General Meetings take place?

    Meetings take place at Bewleys Hotel in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4 (adjacent to RDS Showgrounds and accross from Four Seasons Hotel). Meetings take place from 10am - noon in the Thomas Prior Hall.  Coffee & tea are served from 9:30am.  Many members go to lunch together after the meeting.


    How can I pay for membership?

    1.     Cash at meeting

    2.     Cheque at meeting or via post (make cheque payable to The American Women's Club of Dublin and send to The American Women's Club of Dublin, P.O. Box 2545, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4.

    3.     If you have online banking, you can make a payment to AWCD account, please inquire through membership page on website for more information.
