The AWCD meets monthly on the 2nd Thursday of each month September through May. Beginning in September 2008, the meetings will be held at the Mount Herbert Hotel in Sandymount. The Mount Herbert Hotel is easily reached by bus, Dart and car with loads of free parking!
The meeting starts at 9:30 with refreshments and then convenes at 10ish with some short announcements followed by a selected speaker.
Continue the social time after the meeting and have lunch with other members at the Mount Herbert Hotel or nearby Sandymount, Baggot Street & Ballsbridge lunch spots.

From DART Station (North and South Dublin)
Take the train to Lansdowne Road station. Turn right, walk past Lansdowne Stadium (on the left hand side). Cross the Dodder Bridge. The Mount Herbert Hotel at Sandymount is on the right.
From City Centre
From Nassau Street at Trinity College (city centre) travel along Merrion Square, Mount Street and Northumberland Road. At Lansdowne Road turn left. Through the junction. Cross DART railway lines, past Lansdowne Stadium (on the left hand side). Cross Dodder Bridge. The Mount Herbert Hotel at Sandymount is on the right hand side.
From South / N11
At end of N11, turn right at Donnybrook Church onto Anglesea Road. At Ballsbridge junction turn left and then right onto Shelbourne Road. At second traffic lights turn right onto Lansdowne Road. Cross DART railway lines, past Lansdowne Stadium (on the left hand side). Cross Dodder Bridge. The Mount Herbert Hotel at Sandymount is on the right.
From West N4 & South N7
Travel through the M50 roundabout towards city centre. Follow south city signs to the Grand Canal. Travel alongside the Grand Canal to the Baggot Street Bridge. Turn right onto Upper Baggot Street, through Pembroke Road to the traffic lights. Straight over into Lansdowne Road. Cross over the DART railway lines. The Stadium is on the left. Follow the road round to the right, over the bridge, and the Mount Herbert Hotel at Sandymount is on the right
