Hillwalkers
Hillwalking (or hiking) is a great Irish pastime, which is not surprising as the area surrounding Dublin has much to offer. This is a hardy group that explores the area from Ashford to Malahide and enjoys the challenges of the Wicklow Mountains.
Hikes vary in length between 2 and 3 hours. Some of them are easy but the walks in the Wicklow Mountains require boots as the terrain is uneven and often wet. A waterproof jacket is often advisable as well. The rewards for this activity are to get to know the Irish countryside and to see the spectacular views. We always have a good time, no matter what the weather, says Ann V, coordinator of the weekly walks. We enjoy the fresh air, exercise and good company but what we really look forward to is lunch afterwards as we've usually worked up quite an appetite.

Professional Women's Network (PWN)
AWCD working members seeking employment or looking for volunteer work, looking for staff or starting a business are welcome to join this networking group. The group meets about once a month, usually at one of the bars or restaurants in the city centre. They get together to share a drink or two, chat about work, and to swap information about working in Ireland. Most meetings have a speaker to educate members about work-related issues such as starting a business, the ins and outs of filing taxes, common job-hunting headaches, and others. BUNKO! BUNKO IS GROWING!
There are multiple Bunko groups that meet and enjoy the fun, friendship - and BUNKO! No experience required. Due to the overwhelming spirit of BUNKO we now have three groups. Sandymount, Dalkey and Ballsbridge.
Sandymount is the first thursday of every month 10:30AM-2PM. Looking for Subs.
Dalkey is the 3rd thursday of every month 10:30AM-2PM and are looking for core people and subs.
Ballsbridge is the 4th wednesday of every month, 7pm-10pm (great for working members) and are looking for core people and subs. sign the list at the general meeting or GroupSpaces!
Cinema Group
Welcome all feature film fans! This informal group meets evenings at various cinemas. Interested? Sign up your interest at the general meeting OR on the GroupSpaces List!
Meet Ups!
Not just for the ladies . . . this event is a social gathering of AWCD members, with or without their significant others, at a different member's home each time. Sign up and bring a dish to share. Come and share good food, good conversation, and a chance to gather socially with members and their partners.
Coffee & Kids (C&K)
This rambunctious group meets every Monday from 10am to noon. Meeting locations vary each week. Feel free to join; kids not necessary!
